Maizy, Danny and Me - Lesson Plans for Preschoolers

Our daughter Maizy just turned three years old in June.  We thought she was going to preschool this year, had a spot all reserved, and just couldn't get her potty trained.  Our daughter is so stubborn and headstrong (I can't imagine where she gets that from lol), she's always done things on her own time, when she's totally ready.  So, why should this next stage be any different.

Anyways, when we realized that she wasn't going to be going to preschool this year, I thought why should she miss out just because she's not potty trained?  That seems ridiculous to me.  As a teacher, who literally had to design and write my own curriculum since my first teaching job fifteen years ago, designing a curriculum just felt second nature to me.  So, I decided I would create my own preschool program for our daughter, and while I'm at it, include our son (who's only 9 months old), but he's home with us, so he can participate with various activities with certain accommodations.

That's how Maizy, Danny and I was born.  This preschool program is play based, parent / teacher led, with hands on experiences for each child.  Children at this age learn through experiences, play, and getting their hands dirty.  There's still plenty of structure, but basically having so much fun while learning that the kids have no idea they're actually learning.

Each lesson is divided into month segments and are available for purchase below.  I incorporate something active, creative, educational and fun in each month's segment.  Lessons explore learning through books, art, music, cooking / baking, exploring both indoors and outdoors, and suggestions for field trips or extension activities to further whatever the theme for the month is.

Each lesson plan will include detailed learning objectives, list of necessary supplies, and detailed directions / scripts for the lesson and activities themselves.  These lessons can be used in a homeschool setting or a traditional school setting.  You would just scale the activities for however many students / children you are working with.

The monthly lesson plans can be found for purchase below.  I will be updating new lessons each month.
